Recently Top Billing approached the Design Academy of Fashion about designing 6 outfits (3 male/3 female)for their July Eco friendly Edition of Top Billing Magazine. We put the current 3rd year class to the task of creating their looks in groups of 2. We then contacted Tony Budden from Hemporium to see if they would be interested in getting involved and sponsoring DAF hemp fabrics for the project, which they very graciously agreed to. The students all worked extremely well together and managed to create 6 cohesive, thoughtful and Eco Friendly looks. DAF could not be more pleased with the outcome - the shoot was a great success, both DAF and Hemporium got fantastic exposure and most importantly - this project helped create awareness of Eco friendly design, exposed the many advantages of the (often misunderstood) hemp plant and proved that Eco friendly fashion need not be dull or uninteresting!
Thanks to everyone who took part.
